Forest Schools

Today we went to Dungannon Park to take part in Forest Schools activities.

First we put on our Forest Schools jackets.

Then we listened to some rules.

We set out the boundaries.

We went on a scavenger hunt.

We found lots of things on the ground and put them in a tray.

We talked about the things we found.

We threw helicopters into the air and watched them spin.

We found out about woodland creatures.

We decorated the woodland creatures with the things we had found.

We made Forest School books.

We coloured in the back of leaves.

We pressed the leaves onto the page to make a print.

We stuck our leaves beside our leaf prints.

Some of us drew around the edge of leaves.

We evaluated our day by running to a happy face.

We all had a great time.

We had lunch in the barbeque area.

Then we all went to the park to have some more fun before we came home.

We really enjoyed our first day at Forest Schools.
